Each year, Discover Kodiak hosts Chocolate Lover’s Fling to bring people together in support of projects that strengthen our island. While guests enjoy creative chocolate entries, auction items, and great company, something bigger is happening behind the scenes — our community is investing in itself.
Turning Community Support into Real Projects
The impact of Chocolate Lover’s Fling extends far beyond one evening.
In past years, funds raised from this event helped us produce our new Destination Video, allowing Discover Kodiak to showcase the beauty, adventure, and spirit of our island to a wider audience. That video continues to support tourism, local businesses, and economic growth.
We are also actively working on wayfinding signage improvements to make navigating Kodiak easier for residents and visitors alike. Clear, welcoming signage strengthens the visitor experience and helps connect people to local businesses, trails, and attractions.
This year, proceeds from Chocolate Lover’s Fling will support Island Trails Network and their ongoing efforts to keep Kodiak’s trails safe, sustainable, and accessible.
Our trails are more than scenic routes — they are where families explore, visitors experience Kodiak’s natural beauty, and residents recharge. Supporting Island Trails Network means investing in outdoor spaces that are essential to both our quality of life and visitor experience.
