Meet Your Pilot: Wesley Dumm
Sea Hawk Air is owned and flown by Wesley Dumm, who grew up in a Kodiak commercial fishing family. As a kid, he learned Kodiak’s weather and geography while hiking, fishing, and hunting around the island.
Wesley started flying in high school. After earning his aviation degree from Montana State University in 2021, he returned to Kodiak to fly for Vertigo Air. He built thousands of hours of experience flying bush aircraft before becoming the owner of Sea Hawk Air in 2026.
Wesley and his family have flown with Sea Hawk Air for decades. Those experiences helped inspire both Wesley and his brother to become pilots. Today, Wesley continues a service Kodiak locals and visitors rely on—and he’s excited to carry it forward.
Bear Viewing Tours: A Kodiak Must-Do
