From towering mountains and wild coastlines to brown bears\, culture\, and everyday life in the archipelago — this is a place people dream of visiting\, and we get to share it. \nWe’re inviting you to help us showcase the wonder of Kodiak in the 2026 Discover Kodiak Visitor Guide Photo Contest! Whether you’re a professional behind the lens or someone who simply loves capturing special moments\, all photos are welcome. \nContest Categories\nCover Contest – $750 \nSubmit your best Kodiak Brown Bear photo for the chance to be featured on the cover of our 2026 Visitor Guide. Photos should be in portrait orientation or capable of being cropped to portrait orientation\, with space for a title\, logo\, and year. (Minimum: 3300px\, 300dpi) \nInterior Contest – $200 per category \nCommercial Fishing \nCoast Guard \nLandscape \nWildlife (all Kodiak Archipelago wildlife\, including Katmai bears) \nFood & Drink \nOutdoor Adventures (new for 2026!) \nGuidelines\nAll photos must be taken within the Kodiak Archipelago. \nHigh-res images required for Cover submissions\, preferred for Interior. \nPhotos submitted should not be entered into any other local photo contests. \nSubmit entries by Oct. 15\, 2025.
