First Friday Art Walk
The Kodiak First Friday Art Walk is back on February 6th from 5 to 7 PM, inviting residents and visitors to experience an evening of creativity, culture, and community across downtown Kodiak.
This monthly celebration highlights the incredible talent of local artists while encouraging the public to explore Kodiak’s galleries, museums, and art spaces. Whether you’re an art lover, a curious visitor, or simply looking for a fun and free community event, First Friday offers something for everyone.

Kodiak Arts Council
The Altered Book Show returns to the Gerald C. Wilson Auditorium foyer through a special partnership with the Arts Council, the Library Association, and The Islander Bookshop. This imaginative exhibit showcases books transformed into mixed-media sculptures and visual art.
Alutiiq Museum
Stop by the museum’s Open House for the Kodiak Island Traditional Arts project. Learn about upcoming workshops, artist opportunities, and programs supporting cultural education and artistic development.
Kodiak History Museum
Enjoy the first of the February craft night series with artist Natasha Zahn leading a Valentine’s line drawing card activity. This drop-in event is free and open to all, while supplies last.
The Frame Shop
