Program
The Kodiak Chamber of Commerce is
excited to bring the Partner's In Kodiak's Economy
(PIKE) to the Chamber membership.
Sponsorship investors of the PIKE
program have the ability to increase publicity
exposure and assured equitable treatment for those
businesses providing the same amount of sponsorship
funds. There are five levels of participation
- Three Sisters, Pillar,
Pyramid, Barometer,
and Crown that allow for
increasing benefits and publicity at each level.
Each level offers a benefit value that far exceeds
the amount of sponsorship funds.
The Kodiak Chamber of Commerce actively
seeks sponsors for community events. Each year
the Kodiak Chamber of Commerce produces the ComFish®
tradeshow in March, the Kodiak Crab Festival in
May, the U.S. Coast Guard Appreciation Event and
the Annual Recognition Event for Chamber members
in October, along with several other smaller events
throughout the year. These events are a very important
part of the Kodiak Island community lifestyle
and serve a critical function for community involvement
for many of our people. The level of community
involvement makes these events an outstanding
opportunity for recognition of those businesses
in the community that help make these events happen
through sponsorship.
Event sponsorship offers unique
opportunities and advantages. Through the continuous
sponsorship of a visible event or series of events
year after year, a sponsor gains public recognition
and prestige that builds over time. The public
begins to associate the event with the support
and goodwill of a local institution. Appreciation
increases from the community each year and the
esteem in which a sponsor is held increases proportionally
with the sponsor's level of involvement and support.
